Alergies

Allergies are disproportionate and excessive defensive reactions to external agents (allergens) that do not pose a threat to one’s health under normal conditions. Nonetheless, the organism at times identifies these elements as enemies of the body. Contrary to popular belief, the main cause of these reactions are not the allergens. Instead, these reactions are due to a lack of adaptation to the environment.

Allergies can be cutaneous, ocular, respiratory or food-related.

At the Laloux International School of Cranial Listening, we work on each allergy in relation to the lack of adaptation and not solely in relation to the substance. The substance is merely the vehicle that drives us to the origin of these reactions. Each substance can be found in the moment and place where a person has experienced shock or conflict that has not been adequately or satisfactorily resolved. The brain incorporates the substances that are present at the moment of the shock or conflict and each time the person is exposed to these substances the brain relives the conflict unconsciously. The brain then proceeds to release histamine along with the symptoms that correspond to each type of allergy.

Cranial Osteopathy treats the lack of adaptation effectively by reviewing all of the cerebral relays that are implied. Likewise, listening techniques are used release each and every one of the structures that are tied to the discomfort of the patient. Treatment involves reviewing the musculoskeletal system, unblocking related articulation, reviewing the suspension system of the viscera (decongesting organs such as the liver which, on occasion is saturated with toxins that favor the onset of allergies) and reviewing all of the bones of the cranial sphere as well as those found in the face.

Arthrosis

Arthrosis (from the Greek arthrosis-articulation). The suffix –osis indicates a pathological process in which there is an increase in mass and in this case, the increase happens in the bones.

Also called osteoarthrosis, this is a non-inflammatory joint disease that is characterized by the degeneration of articular cartilage, bone growth, above all on the borders, and changes in the synovial membrane. It is usually accompanied by pain and stiffness. Treatment is provided at the Laloux International School of Cranial Listening in order to recover the processes of arthrosis in the following manner:

Firstly, we locate the main area of stress in the patient’s body that is related to their arthrosis. This stress can appear in a variety of areas. Let’s use the hip as an example. Symptoms may initially occur right next to the hip or they can also appear in the dorsolumbar spine from which the peripheral nerves that supply the hip with neurological function stem. The stress can also appear as a blockage in a particular organ (kidney). It can also be related to the cerebral relay that controls the functioning of the hip. In this relay, the biological conflict that is associated with arthrosis is also controlled. In this case, the conflict is linked with a devaluation due to the inability to deal with, resist or complete something. In the case of arthrosis, from the perspective of New Medicine, we can find that the advantage of the illness, while it may seem paradoxical, is that it is in the solution phase. During the active phase of the illness, while the patient ruminates their self-devaluation, the bones are affected by a process of osteoporosis. At the moment in which the person finds a solution to this devaluation, because they finally take the step towards doing so, or they accept that they don’t want to take the step, the brain gives the order to fill the caves that form in the bone with the intention of reinforcing it so that it does not break. It is for this reason that arthrosis is good news.

It is important to transmit this message to the patient so that they understand that they do not have a chronic illness. In fact, arthrosis is resolved satisfactorily at the precise moment in which the patient understands this concept because chronic illnesses does not exist.

Everything can be resolved once a person is able to find the cause of their illness.

The hip responds to a particular conflict while other articulations are linked to their corresponding conflicts.

At our center, in addition to providing treatment that increases elasticity and releases all of the implied structures, we work on cerebral relays using Cranial Osteopathy (CO). We use this treatment in order to improve neurovascular communication between the brain and the organs. Important changes will be noticeable from the first session. If we add moderate exercise to this treatment, we will facilitate the mobilization of metabolic residue and help the organism eliminate what is not necessary.

Cefalea - Migraine

Cephela, cephelalgia, or headache, is a common symptom in a number of pathological states. It usually appears due to the congestion of an organ or neurovascular entrapment.

Migraine, from the Greek word Hemikrania, is a condition in the middle of the head, resulting in a symptom complex that consists of frequent vascular headaches that are usually accompanied by irritability, nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea and, quite often,  sensitivity to light.

At the Laloux International School of Cranial Listening we address this condition in the following manner: We locate the main point of tension with craniosacral listening. Frequently we find it housed in the suboccipital region and associated with cervical stress. We then proceed to unblock the cervical spine using structural or functional osteopathic techniques or through craniosacral unwinding in order to more efficiently adapt to the specific necessities of each patient.

Once the area has been released, we continue to review the surrounding areas in order of importance.

Guaranteeing vascular supply to the head as well as regulating the correct venous drainage in the body is a priority.

In order to so, the paths between the carotid and vertebral arteries as well as the jugular veins must be examined meticulously. In fact, attacks of the hemicranias often take place when the brain has accumulated more blood than it has the ability to drain.

We continue to evaluate the general state of the patient’s body by examining the organs. We pay special attention to the digestive system as it tends to be involved in headaches (liver, gallbladder, pancreas).

The last step is to detect whether or not there is any type of brain relay contributing to the illness and then proceed to releasing through craniosacral unwinding. It is likely that the patient releases associated emotions or takes interest in knowing the origin of the headache. In this case, it is very useful to identify the biological conflict associated with the pain in order to become aware of the reason for discomfort. If the explanation is logical and coherent for the patient, from that moment on the patient will have a powerful tool that allows them to feel that they have an influence on their recovery.

Heart - Cardiac disorders

Cardiac disorders such as arrhythmias, tachycardia, bradycardia, HTN (arterial hypertension), heart valve disease, pericarditis, angina or heart attack require a thorough evaluation of all of the dependent structures.

With this type of imbalance, we begin our diagnostic evaluation the same way that we do all other types of conditions. We first locate the primary area of stress in order to release it. This stress is usually associated with the pericardium.

The pericardium is a two layer serous membrane that covers the heart, protects it and keeps it steady in its locations in the body with powerful ligaments that connect it to the diaphragm muscle, the sternum and the cervical and dorsal spine. This is the reason why difficulty with breathing and chest, cervical and back pain are associated with cardiac disorders.

Once the primary source of stress has been identified and released, we continue to look for the next area of stress. Frequently, we find that it is necessary to correct the vertebrae and ribs, improve the elasticity of the diaphragm and, using Cranial Osteopathy, release the cranial bones and cerebral relays that have been affected.

Last, but not least, it is important to examine the biological sense that is responsible for these conditions. When the right heart is affected (angina), the conflict is related to dependency or sexual frustration and the consequences can be seen in the cervix, the vagina and the coronary veins. When the left heart is affected (myocardial infraction), the patient is suffering from a direct threat related to a territorial conflict. In this case effects can be seen primarily on the coronary arteries as they are responsible for blood supply to the heart, which requires maximum levels of performance when one is confronted with a situation related to territorial defense (conflicts in both professional and personal environments in which one feels under attack).

Stomach

Conditions related to the stomach can manifest themselves through a wide range of symptoms which range from simple discomfort, slow and heavy digestion and heartburn to ulcers and even cancer.

The stomach is responsible for breaking down and mixing food as well as the production of HCI (hydrochloric acid) and digestive enzymes that are used to break the parts down into smaller ones. This serves to facilitate the absorption of nutrients in the small intestine. During revision of the general state of the stomach of the affected person, other associated structures will be encountered. Generally, the tissue on the middle dorsal spine tends to be involved, presenting vertebral blockages and some disruption in the ribcage. In the organ suspension system it is common to find other organs that are affected such as the kidney, esophagus, duodenum and the pancreas.

We then move on to correct all of the structures involved through gentle techniques that go in the order that the tissue indicates as priority. As we do in all of our consultations, we will revise the state of cerebral relays in the stomach. Work is done on these relays to release associated biological conflicts such as the inability to digest prey (objective), when the greater curvature is affected, or a conflict related to an indigestible opposition, when the lesser curvature and the duodenal bulb are affected.

In short, the stomach is altered (i.e. warns us) when we ruminate on an idea or situation for so long that we begin to obsess. The stomach also presents signs of dysfunction when we cannot properly digest our problems.

Menstruation - Hypermenorrhea - Amenorrhea - Dismenorrhea

All menstrual dysfunctions and alterations require a thorough revision of the female reproductive system and its suspension system. After examining the system, we will move on to examining the spinal axis and its nerve roots, which correspond with the dorsolumbar hinge (D12 and L1) in this case.

The order of treatment is determined by the tissue and verifies the state of the cervical spine and the cerebral relays that control the genital organs.

Lastly, if the patient is interested in knowing the influence of their emotional state and the weight of unresolved biological conflicts on their condition, we will inform her.

Each woman should be given personalized treatment depending on the signs and symptoms that are present. This is why the biological and emotional evidence that we offer can only be used as a general guide. Menstruation is the periodic evacuation of blood and cervical mucus when fertilization has not occurred. This bodily function gives an idea of the importance of these disorders.

Women with these disorders have the need to feel useful. They need to be recognized for their productivity and efficiency but they also have a difficult time dealing with their obligations. The regularity of their cycle and their obligations are difficult to balance just as being a mother and a woman are.

Furthermore, women who have very painful menstrual cramps tend to be very demanding of themselves and have a desire to be free and independent. Moreover, they may also have a painful relationship with their mother as well as certain aspects of femininity.

Hormonal disorders

This chapter presents Hormonal Osteopathy (HO), an excellent tool to help solve any type of endocrine dysfunction.

The endocrine system forms a part of a complex network of communication between the brain and the organs via messengers called hormones. This system consists of glands and other structures that release hormones into the circulatory flow, influencing the metabolism as well as other processes in the body. In the head, we find the central office of this messenger system which is comprised of the pituitary, hypothalamus and the pineal body. In the body, we find the delegations which are comprised of the thyroid gland, parathyroid, thymus, pancreas, adrenals and gonads.

Like other treatments, we will begin our examination by detecting the primary source of tension in the body of the patient, regardless of the endocrine condition that is present.

Frequently, it is necessary to release the diaphragms that are closest to each gland or previously correct a particular segment of the vertebral axis. It is also frequently necessary that a neighboring organ is contributing to the imbalance and it is necessary to do work on this organ. By any means, via listening techniques HO will guide us towards the order of treatment that is most adequate.

Additionally, we will examine the cerebral relays that are affected and the conflicts that are related. For example, in the thyroid gland is it common to find conflicts related to helplessness, not being able to cope or not being able to keep up with everything. In the pancreas, it is likely that the diabetic at some point has suffered a conflict of resistance, of strong opposition against something or has felt repugnance. They have also felt that there is not enough sweetness in life.
